Program Overview

The one-year diploma provides students with the foundational competencies to become a shipping and receiving professional, along with the technical and analytical skills to participate in shipping and receiving strategy. Students learn to ship, receive, and record the movement of parts, supplies, materials, equipment, and stock to and from an establishment. A minimum mark of 60% is required in all courses to receive the diploma.

Courses

  • Determine method of shipment; prepare bills of lading, customs forms, invoices and shipping documents
  • Assemble containers and crates; pack goods and affix identifying information and shipping instructions
  • Oversee loading and unloading of goods from trucks or other conveyances
